With a glow of transparent watercolor washes, Sue shares glimpses of the beauty in her environment. She gains immense satisfaction in translating a typical scene into a study of value and color to produce a visual statement of her perceptions.

With her vision of familiar subjects she strives to raise awareness of simple beauty and touch the hearts of the viewers.

Knowing since childhood that she had a gift in art, Sue did not fully embrace it until mid life.
As a young adult thirty years ago, Sue began painting in watercolor for fun, learning the techniques of watercolor from local artist, Jerry Wright. It was only in the past 12 years, though, that she took a more serious approach to art and began an intense self study of design principles and their application to her artwork. Sue has been exhibiting her work professionally since 1999. Her work has been accepted into several juried shows in Texas and Louisiana, many times receiving awards.

Born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Sue is a graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles. She and her husband, Paul, have four sons who enjoy to the fullest the opportunities southwest Louisiana has to offer.
